Azrieli.com (eCommerce part of the Azrieli Group) is the online marketplace in Israel that offers a wide selection of products in many categories, including fashion, home, garden, electronics, gifts and leisure, children and infants, pharmacy and cosmetics, sports and more.

The website is designed to provide an enjoyable, easy-to-navigate experience with a user-friendly interface and bright, vibrant colors. Customers can search for products or browse various categories to discover new ones. Azrieli.com is committed to providing all customers a convenient and enjoyable shopping experience.

Problem

Azrieli wanted to develop a better online shopping experience for customers as part of digital transformation. They needed to update the existing marketplace platform with several new features and integrations but realized they needed more internal resources (developers). After researching the options, they chose to tap into BitBag expertise and outsource some tasks to us, trusting us to deliver fully managed, tailored solutions that meet their sophisticated requirements.

Challenges

The primary challenge was creating a solution to handle the customer’s complex requirements. This included:

  • Integrating third-party tools such as Mirakl, Riskified, Nixale, NetSuite, SAP CDC, Kustomer, etc.
  • Ensuring compliance with local regulations concerning overlapping promotions
  • Setting up product feeds from multiple sources
  • Integrating multiple shipping providers
  • Providing customers with a loyalty points system
  • Ensuring customer information can be stored securely and efficiently
  • Developing a two-way integration between the marketplace management tool and Sylius
  • Creating a Slack integration for customized notifications

Solution & Outcome

As a company specializing in developing complex eCommerce solutions (including multi-vendor marketplaces based on Sylius), we supported Azrieli’s team with our comprehensive suite of services. As a part of the cooperation between Azrieli’s and BitBag’s teams (developers), we were able to implement the following:

Mirakl
A marketplace management tool that allows vendors to create, update and manage offers, promotions, prices, and stock levels with a two-way integration with Sylius.
Riskified
An automated fraud-check system that helps protect customers’ credit cards and payment information. With Riskified, Azrieli can quickly and easily identify potentially fraudulent activity.
Product Feeds
We helped Azrieli set up product feeds from ZAP, Google, and other sources, allowing them to keep their customers up-to-date on the latest products and promotions.
Promotion Cool-off Mechanism
We developed a cool-off mechanism that helps Azrieli comply with Israeli regulations regarding overlapping promotions. With this mechanism, Azrieli can offer promotions without worrying about violating the law.
Slack Integration
We set up a Slack integration for Azrieli that allows them to send notifications to their staff members.
Recommendations
Nixale is an AI-based recommendation system that we integrated into Azrieli’s store. This system helps customers find the products they need while also helping Azrieli increase sales.
ERP Integration
NetSuite is a comprehensive ERP system that helps them keep track of prices, stock levels, and other data.
AZ Credits
We integrated a loyalty points system into Azrieli’s store, allowing customers to earn points when purchasing.
SAP CDC
We integrated Azrieli’s store with SAP Customer Data Cloud, a system that stores customer information in one place. This integration allows customers to log in, reset their passwords, and more.
Shipping Providers
We provide Azrieli’s store with multiple shipping providers, including Buzzr, FlyingCargo, and Chita, allowing customers to track their orders in real-time.
CRM Integration
We integrated Kustomer into Azrieli’s store, giving customers the ability to communicate directly with the store via customer support at Kustomer and refund orders from Kustomer.

Results
